A New Personal Statement
There’s no doubt that we’re shifting, both as individuals and as a Collective. This is happening for me as well. Change is a creative process, two key words: it is a process that takes place over time. As much as any of us might prefer the wave of a wand, we must engage in the actual work of releasing the old aspects of ourselves, as we revision what we wish to create. Creativity is the name of the game. It begins in the imagination first – being able to see what we want and then manifesting it. It’s true that it will be easier to do so than in the past. We can simply tap into the creative flow and bring it through without the strain and struggle of the past. That source of flow lies within us. This orientation itself is a shift. The more internal work that we do to clear the cobwebs of the past, the clearer our vision of our future.
The other piece of this process is self-expression. Once we discover inwardly what we wish to bring through, we must express it! Live it. The joy or exuberance we feel when we tap into inner source is the energy of manifestation – excitement makes it happen. But it requires free self-expression - nothing holding us back. Fear of looking foolish, fear of being judged, fear of our own shadows has to be bypassed. Who cares anyway? The more joy we can express, the more joy we will feel. The more joy we express as individuals, the more joy we can experience as a Collective: we are the sum total of All.
This message has not changed much for me – I’ve been saying it for years. It’s been the basis for my work for as long as I can remember. That’s because it’s my soul’s work. My soul is my essence, and that does not change. However, what does change is an evolution of that, a deepening of self-knowledge, a deepening of awareness of the interconnectedness of life and how expansive that is. We are not isolated beings. We are connected to a broad spectrum of consciousness: angels, nature spirits, water, animals, and galactic family. Our ancestors are ever-present, whether they be of this world or others. All of these inform my awareness. My Guides, the Ones, are one aspect of broader, more expansive network of energy and information. I am a part of that, or as my teacher, Muktananda, said: I am That. I am that Consciousness. My experience of it has deepened. My self-expression of it is more activated. And so, I continue to live that joy, that exuberance, in the world. The world is better for it. I do that through painting. I do that through teaching. I do that through being. I am a multidimensional being, a synthesis of all that I am and all that I do.
